Code Club - September Update
Back in June Cognitiv officially launched an appeal for local volunteers and schools to get involved with Code Club; we also announced our ambition to see 1,000 youngsters engage with the nationwide programme.
We have already helped to recruit a mentor, who supported the Code Club that was established at The Hepworth. Since the launch we have also inspired Horbury Primary to start a club. If you could help them to get started by volunteering your time please do get in touch.
In other news a new club has also been set-up at Park Junior School in Castleford.
Whilst we are still some way off our goal of supporting 1,000 youngsters, we are pleased with the progress to date and hope that our success stories will help to inspire many more volunteers and schools to get involved.
It’s important to highlight that our involvement with Code Club is not a one-off request for volunteers but is part of an on-going commitment to support young people. Code Club helps to develop invaluable skills that we believe will support the future workforce and talent pool of the district.
Help us to inspire more Code Clubs by increasing the number of volunteers that can offer their support, guidance and inspiration.
