Claire Harper, founder of award winning retailer IndiaCoco, will take to the stage at the official launch of Cognitiv, the industry group supporting Wakefield’s Creative, Digital and IT sector.

During a successful career in marketing Claire has helped to guide a number of businesses including well known high street names Mamas & Papas, Argos and Ocado.

In 2012 Claire left the corporate world to launch IndiaCoco, an online retail outlet that specialises in handpicked British designed childrenswear. Claire quickly expanded her footprint establishing a partnership with Yorkshire based Blacker Hall Farm Shop before opening her first high street store in Wakefield.

Renowned for being an experienced and dynamic marketer and award winning business woman, Claire will offer guests an insight into the world of online retail and marketing, whilst at the same time sharing her experiences and knowledge of how to run a successful business within Wakefield.

Graham Howarth founding member of Cognitiv comments: “We want to shout about the experience and expertise of the many organisations that sit within the creative, digital and IT sector and Claire is a great example of this. Having Claire at the event will inspire attendees and also help us to showcase the promotional opportunities Cognitiv holds for the many people involved in these sectors across the district.”

Cognitiv, a new industry group established to place the spotlight firmly on Wakefield’s creative, digital and IT sector, will officially launch at The Hepworth Wakefield on Wednesday 2nd April from 5.30pm.

Acknowledging the crucial role that these industries play in Wakefield’s growth and future prosperity, the group aims to become the voice for the sector, bringing people together to share ideas, develop partnerships and build better business opportunities.

Cognitiv will also promote the best of the districts thriving creative, digital and IT talent to the wider community and represent members when addressing market challenges.
