Since we last met...

Members

Since we last met at our well attended launch in April, we have been delighted with the response and support that Cognitiv has received. The launch event was followed by an informal meet up in May at Create where members had the chance to catch up and get to know each other in a relaxed setting.

And in June we teamed up with partners at Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Wakefield Council to host Cognitiv Question Time, a panel discussion with questions from the audience where we talked about the issues that matter to our sector.

This event was an important part of our representation agenda, we'll also be collating your views to put together our first Cognitiv policy agenda over the next few months, ensuring we have a firm plan to represent our members on their concerns.

We are currently planning our 2014 calendar, which is already looking very busy! We're keen to continue to develop opportunities for our members to meet up and listen to engaging speakers and will be announcing details of our next events soon.

One of our key objectives is skills. We will be working with partners in the education sector to develop employer led qualifications, having regular meetings to keep progress on track.

We are contributing to Leeds City Region discussions on this area, having attended numerous events and meetings, including the Leeds City Region Digital Agenda update in July. We will provide a more detailed update on this important area towards the end of the year.
