Wakefield's Digital District
Wednesday 24th February, 2016
8:30am - 10am
The Hepworth Wakefield, Gallery Walk, Wakefield, WF1 5AW
Our first Cognitiv event of 2016 will be a panel discussion and Q&A to explore the future opportunities and challenges that digital has to offer our district. This event is free to attend and complementary tea, coffee & pastries will be provided.
Digital is playing an ever-important part in the success of our district. Wakefield Council have identified the creative, digital and IT sectors as key priority growth areas and the establishment of Cognitiv in 2014 has provided the first industry group for the sector to facilitate better collaboration, growth and promotion across the area
We’ll be taking about new innovations, projects and collaborations that are having an impact. We’ll also be discussing the challenges we face and how we can best work together to solve these issues.
The panel will include leaders from Wakefield’s key organisations in the digital sector from both the public, private and education sectors.
We would be delighted if you could join us to hear these speakers and ask your own questions. We’re interested to hear what your opportunities and challenges are, and what you think needs to happen in Wakefield to maximise the economic and social impact of our Digital District.
During the event we’ll also be surveying delegates and producing a follow up report summarising the outcomes and actions we could take to strengthen our opportunities and successes.
We hope to see you there.
