Local artists interested in finding out more about setting up and running a social enterprise are being invited to a special interactive event hosted by The Art House.
Facilitated by Catherine Mcgrath, Social Enterprise Consultant and Director for CASE, an organisation which provides social enterprise development support, the event will take place on Thursday 22nd January at The Orangery in Wakefield.
Putting the spotlight on how social businesses are changing the world for the better, Catherine will help individuals considering their own enterprise journey by providing them with the knowledge and the confidence needed to establish a social enterprise that will make a positive and lasting impact.
Hannah Mason, BELAY Programme Manager at The Art House comments: “Through our BELAY Creative Mentoring programme we have been supporting artists as they take steps to develop their own business – which also includes social enterprise.
“By offering the opportunity to learn more about setting up and running a social business – one that could essentially aid a community - we hope to inspire some big ideas that can come to life within the city.”
The Social Enterprise Event will take place on Thursday 22nd January, 13.30 – 16.30 at The Orangery, Wakefield. Admission to this event is just £15, £10 to members of The Art House and free to BELAY Mentees.
